People in all circles get trapped inside their bubbles. Classical musicians in school (as students or professors), in military bands (doesn’t matter what branch), or in regular ensembles are no exception. Pop that puppy by doing the following: first, notice it. Then, choose to leave it by expanding your world in some way, seeing things from a different perspective, trying something for the first time. And then you have to actually do it. It’s a cycle you have to do over and over and over again. Otherwise, you’re still stuck in a (slightly bigger or different) bubble.
